vi.   Letter to Mayor Lottering re Section 58 of the Act regarding public disclosure of Municipal salaries – BC received a favourable reply, “Thank you for reminding me about these legislative requirements. I really appreciate it.” And assuring her that it would be done once the new MM’s position had been approved by council at a Meeting provisionally scheduled for 29/11/11

3. Cooperation with the Chamber of Commerce – BC had attended their AGM on 5th October and offered to give report backs on our activities so as not to duplicate efforts.

4. Appointment of PARRA rep on IDP forum – The Association’s representative on this very important forum is KC. An application had been completed and given to Heinrich Esterhuizen well before time and KC will keep us informed of progress.

5. Community Police Forum  – BC attended the meeting on 10th October under the new Chair, Linda Jaquet. There was a very poor turnout with no representation from BADISA, Traffic Dept., PAAK, the Municipality, Tourism or Correctional Services. John Britz’s Neighbourhood Watch programme received some attention and promises from SAPS to work more closely with them. Minutes of the meeting have been made available to PARRA

6. How can PARRA assist Renu Karoo & Municipality to remove alien cacti – this matter has been ongoing for over a year with no sign of the necessary poison or action from the PA Municipality. BG reported that it had taken almost a whole day to remove one such cactus from her vacant plot. Great care and training was needed in the operation.

7. Master plan needed at Development Hub (around OK Grocery) – BC had received a letter from PA Cultural Foundation regarding concerns for the negative ripple effect of commercial undertakings on adjoining residential properties, some of which provide accommodation for visitors.
